Ideate session

It is a student community in which a person or a group take up a responsibility as a trainer, supports a learner in achieving a specific personal or professional goal. The learning process comes by sharing of knowledge and ideas, and thus we provide a platform for everyone to explore on different things around us in our day to day life. Occasionally, it may mean an informal relationship between two or more number of individuals, where everyone has more experience and expertise than the other and offers advice and guidance as the latter learns; also here in focusing on specific tasks or objectives for overall development. This evolution has been influencing many fields of interest, study, various facts and ideology including personal development, soft skills, one 's potential for overcoming one's fear, to project his hidden potentials and leadership skills. It has been developing into a more independent discipline and professional gathering to improvise their association with IEEE, The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers.

As a leader, we know how important it is to keep improving our skills. We classified "IDEATE" into two parts; technical and non-technical. Ideate can help you in improving your attitude and behaviour and achieve more than you can ever imagine.

What exactly we focus on?

Our individual and team efforts can make a difference at every levels.

Non-technical: These include career transition, interpersonal and professional communication, performance management, organizational effectiveness, managing career and personal changes, developing executive presence, enhancing strategic thinking, dealing effectively with conflict, building an effective team within an organization.

Technical: This is a wide range of education disciplines from various projects, paper presentation, learning and improving their technical skills. New technology in every field, technical studies and other forms of training are becoming increasingly important. This is a wide range of education disciplines, because technical studies are found in various fields and lead to a range of careers.

We believe "Nothing can be changed unless we accept and invite a change in us."

Identify how to learn and work with aspects of the different types of challenges we come across:-leadership, organization, Inter-Group and Group behaviour and a research involved activity.

The rapid need of learning or developing a skill of lasting personal skills is an essential challenge we face in most organizations.

It simply comes down to redefine us with a new path and guidelines in a way to develop us into a professional vision.

The ability in locating, assessing, measuring the appropriate professional (learning or development), changes us. The initiative which we develop to be enhanced, has to translate changes into an action plan, and the ability will determine the relationship in the organization.

One of the reasons why we believe in this is that we specifically need successful establishment to manage your development. We find all the right answers as well as provide you all with the

relevant professional outlook. As we get into assessing the results, you will absolutely turn to us for more valuable guidance and support we provide.

Think: It‘s the perfect time for you to reshape yourself.

Inspire: Get an identity and be a good inspiring person.

Act: Follow your ideas and act according to it.

Academic year 2016-17

1)  History of computing

We have a device in everybody’s hand that can calculate hardest of the hardest calculates. It is able to render graphics with ease and thanks to VR (virtual reality headset by Google cardboard) we are now not only able to watch but also immerse in to the content completely. From where dose all of this power is coming, a normal E.C.E student can say from the processor’s that are embedded in to the devices. But what was the condition of the world before the invention of the transistor did they have any devices for calculations

in this talk we’ll look over it

.

Now if we want we can have a days of talk on this subject alone but instead we are going to look over the machines that have kept the markers for the next technological change and have changed the human life style.

1.We are going to build a basic adder and a comparator using simple balance and understand the athematic equation to machine mapping.

2.we are going to discuss the basic mechanical calculators we will address the difference engine and then we’ll mention the work of Alan Turing and this

3.we will see why people have moved from mechanical engines to (Analog in particular).

4.we’ll look over the problems of the Analog computing and address themovement to the digital computing.

5.we’ll see the falling pattern of Dennard scaling and try to predict breakdown of moor’s law in commercial sector tough.

6.we’ll conclude with the ideas for the future computations and some try tounleash the full potential of the digital computing if breaking all the abstraction(mostly the major one’s).

Academic year 2015-16

1) INTRODUCTION TO IEEE :

GITAM IEEE is one of the most active student chapters so far. Students actively participate and make the most out of IEEE by getting recruited into it. The Recruitment Drive is thus the most awaited period of the year.

2) INTRODUCTION TO PAPER PRESENTATION

This ideate session was taken up by Mr. Goutham; a lecture on how to present a research paper. IEEE is known for its technical achievements across the globe. Thus, we encourage our members to develop their technical skills and help them get ready for the world outside. Many students wonder about the writing process itself. The outline of the academic paper is very similar for most branches of science.

Creating an extended outline may help structure your thoughts, especially for longer papers. A research paper doesn‘t necessarily need knowledge in all the subjects that we deal with. It just requires in depth knowledge of the main areas of the subject and a basic level knowledge in the other fields of study is sufficient. This formed the base for our first ideate session.

3) INTRODUCTION TO BASIC ELECTRONICS-1

This ideate session was taken up my Mr.Chiranjeevi; a lecture was delivered on Basic Electronics. This again threw light on the most important technical aspects essential for career development.Mr.Chiranjeevi addressed and motivated the members to pursue their career in the core field which in turn requires a great deal of assistance from the field of Basic Electronics.

4) INTRODUCTION TO BASIC ELECTRONICS-2

The goal of this session was to provide some basic information about electronic. We made the assumption that the members no prior knowledge of electronics, electricity, or circuits, and started from the basics. So, the first question is ``What is an electronic circuit?'' A circuit is a structure that directs and controls electric currents, presumably to perform some useful function. The very name "circuit" implies that the structure is closed, something like a loop. That is all very well, but this answer immediately raises a new question: "What is an electric current?" Again, the name "current" indicates that it refers to some type of flow, and in this case we mean a flow of electric charge, which is usually just called charge .and this went on. Mr. Chiranjeevi really brought up an enthusiastic atmosphere and the members found it very interesting and informative.

5) NON-TECHNICAL TALK

This ideate session mainly focussed on the non-technical aspects which are also highly important for the overall development of a person. Career development involves a great deal of proper planning and timely action accordingly. The lecture on SixSigma proved to be a great attraction among the members. The Ideate session was a huge success because of the topics it dealt with. Career development is one of those fields which seeks great attention and importance. Thus IEEE once again proved very helpful for everyone.
