Do you have the passion to prove yourself ..? Your quest finally does here. IEEE is here with an amazing opportunity. STUDENT OF THE DEPARTMENT All the above questions are answered here. Student of the department is a 7-day long event which has 7 levels .. The students who can successfully cross all the 7 levels will be given the title of STUDENT OF THE DEPARTMENT The 7 rounds are as follows:

1.THE SMART YOU(10-07-17)

This is a pen and paper round ,based on Aptitude and Logical Reasoning. The participants will be tested on their reasoning skills in this round. As any ideal student should have a minimum amount of reasoning skills to succeed in his/her life ,this round is going to serve as our preliminary base to gauge the capability of a student.

2.THE RESONANT YOU(11-07-17) This is a pen and paper round based on General Knowledge. Being resonant with what is going on around the world is One of the important qualities that an ideal student should definitely possess .Being aware of the latest happenings across the world. In this round , the participants will be given some topics which happened recently and opinion based questions related to those phenomena will be asked. So this round helps us to gauge how updated the student is, with the things happening around him.

3. THE PROFESSIONAL YOU (12-07-17)

This is a management round in which participants will be given some situational questions. The participants have to get into the role given in the question and they need to express what they will do if they really face that situation in real life. Courage and Resilience are very important for any individual to face the real time challenges in life. So this round help us to assess “what type of person the student is” and “how prepared he/she is to face the challenges in professional life.”

4. THE KEEN YOU(13-07-17)

This is a sharpness measuring fun round. In this round ,the participants are given a bunch of mixed newspapers and a topic. Then they are asked to stick the topic related information from the newspapers on a chart given to them. As the students will be tired with mind boggling rounds on the first 3 days, this round would afresh them a little with a trace of fun

element in it. And this round also serves to gauge the sharpness of a student.

5.THE BOOKMAN YOU(14-07-17)

The penultimate skill which the Student of the Department title winner should definitely possess is “Scholarly knowledge on his/her technical subjects”.It will not be meaningful if he/she lacks the knowledge about the core subject .In this round, the participants will be given some electronic components and they will be asked to discuss about the possible circuit that can be made out of those components and also to discuss about the applications of the circuit made using those components. So this round helps us to assess the student’s mettle in his/her technical subjects.

6.THE ORATOR YOU(15-07-17)

This is a JAM session in which the participants are asked to switch for and against the topic given to them, by the call of the mentor . These days, one cannot imagine to succeed if one lacks in communication skills. The skill has become the driving factor to success in any sector of our society. So this round helps us to gauge how skilled the student is, in this area. In this round, the participant’s oratory skills, spontaneity can be assessed in the most efficient way.

7.THE INNER YOU(15-07-17)

This is a personal interview. By now,we can decide who can be the eligible ones for the title, but still this round plays a key role, as nothing serves better than a interview, in knowing the inner personality of a participant.So this personal interview helps us to know about the student’s ideologies , future plans , goal clarity and most importantly, how prepared the student is, to face the future challenges of life. So the person who clears all the above super seven rounds of “Student of the Department2k17” event, will ultimately become the STUDENT OF THE DEPARTMENT 2.0 2K17. So here are the seven rounds once again..

1.The Smart You (Aptitude and logical reasoning round) 2.The Resonant You(General Knowledge round) 3.The Professional You(Management round) 4.The Keen You(Sharpness measuring fun round) 5.The Orator You(Communication skills round) 6.The Bookman You(Technical round) 7.The Inner You(Personal Interview).

The winner of the event will be presented with a trophy.
